Example training groom sessions include:
Wet trims on a doodle while they learn to tolerate the high-velocity grooming dryer.
Senior dog unable to stand receives a clipper cut on the upper body but just some light trimming on their legs where accessible.
Introducing puppy to tools by showing them the grooming scissors, bringing them closer to the dog’s face, and redirecting attempts to play with the grooming equipment. Puppy is rewarded for safely investigating tools and staying still.
Some cases require getting the dog comfortable in the grooming environment before any actual haircuts are attempted.
Other cases need the dog to come in for different parts of the groom over separate days.
